THIS PROJECT INVOLVED DESIGNING A BOOK COVER FOR A CLASSIC NOVEL AND SUPPORTING ILLUSTRATIONS FOR THE TEXT/CHAPTER PAGES. THE BRIEF ASKED THAT THE DESIGN CAPTURED
THE ESSENCE OF THE STORY WHILE REIMAGINING IT VISUALLY TO ENGAGE READERS IN FRESH
AND COMPELLING WAYS. BOTH THE COVER AND THE ILLUSTRATIONS SHOULD ALIGN IN STYLE
AND TONE, CREATING A COHESIVE VISUAL IDENTITY THAT HONOURS THE CLASSIC NATURE OF
THE NOVEL WHILE APPEALING TO A MODERN DEMOGRAPHIC.

PROJECT CONCEPT
MY CONCEPT FOCUSES ON THE EFFECTS ALCOHOL HAS ON YOUR FINE MOTOR SKILLS SUCH
AS BALANCE AND EYE MOVEMENTS. I VISUALISED THIS BY CREATING A LOGO THAT PURPOSELY TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO UNDERSTAND, IMITATING THE FEELING OF INTOXICATION. THE NAME ‘DEVIL’S DELUSION’ COMES FROM THE COCKTAIL ‘DEVIL’S JUICE’ HOWEVER THE DELUSION IS THE CONFUSION YOUR BODY FEELS WHILST DRUNK. MY PUBLIC HEALTH CAMPAIGN CONCEPT FOCUSES AROUND THE IDEA OF FEELING MOST DRUNK IN THE BATHROOM AT A BAR. I DECORATED THE
STALL WITH A DISTORTED VERSION OF THE LOGO REALLY ENHANCING THAT SENSE OF
UNBALANCE AND CONFUSION.
